Bye Europe of the States. Hello Vernacular Europe.

A foreseeable death

The Europe of the artificial states, created in the 18th century, has failed. At this point, it is clear that we will never have a united Europe, at least as it has been proposed so far. The Brèxit, now consolidated, is the starting point of the progressive dismantling that we will see in the coming years. We will contemplate the end of an EU that was never really united.

There are several reasons that explain the decline of the European aborted dream. To begin with, an attempt has been made to build the unity of Europe on a non-existent reality, because the Europe of the states is not the real Europe. It is a Europe built against natural nations, created with invasions, repression and genocides. Dozens of historical languages and nations survive, still today, oppressed by the artificial states of the 18th. This fact demonstrates the indestructible solidity of the nations and the fragility of the states.

Weak states, strong nations

We see it clearly if we analyze the origins. The states are one-day constructions. Fruit of a royal wedding, an imperial heritage or a successful war. It is possible to create a new state in a single day. And for this reason, they are such fragile structures. What is born in a day, may disappear in a day. Because only the administration supports them. They have no popular, historical or cultural basis. And much less are an identity reality.

"The new Europe will be a regional and supra-state reality. And we can find this nature in the historical nations and cultural communities"

The nations, on the other hand, are articulated around a language and a cultural community. And they need hundreds of years to compact and consolidate. But when they do it, they have a surprising natural solidity. And they have an unfathomable creative energy, coming from their identity genius.

This explains why the states are so fragile that they cannot afford to cede sovereignty to the European Union, because their fear to disappearing forever. Because it is evident that if the government of Spain cedes sovereignty to the EU, the Catalans, the Andalusians, the Galicians, the Basques and the Castilians, true historical, cultural and national communities, will quickly take advantage of it to get rid of the state that oppresses and impoverishes themselves.

The same would happen in France, with the Occitan, the Bretons, the Alsatians, the Catalans, the Franks, the Normans and the Basques, who would soon regain their natural national essence. Or in Italy. Or in Britain. Or in Germany. Etc.

The ghost entities and the new Vernacular Europe

Today, the european states are ghost entities, completely surpassed. They are fossils, they are reminiscent of another century. For the global economy, the size of the 18th century states is an obstacle. They show a serious problem of lace. There are states not small enough to treat the local adequately, nor too large to compete with the huge conglomerates such as China, the United States or India. In other words, they are an economic and administrative hindrance. We speak of Great Britain, France, Italy, Germany... medium-sized states that will be rolled below, by the insurgency of their nations, and above, by the need for a cession of obvious sobirania.

The new European reality will be regional and supra-state. And this nature is typical of the historical nations and cultural communities, small in size. The new Europe, which will emerge after the defeat of the Europe of the States, will be a Vernacular Europe. That is, a natural Europe, an historical Europe, a cultural Europe, with all its diversity and wealth. And this Europe will be strong and secure enough to deliver its sovereignty and unlimited genius to the new United Europe.
